How to check you are not being scammed

Holiday-rental scams in the mountains are common: a fake listing, fake photos, a fake site, a transfer that vanishes. This page is for any rental, not only ours.

• Read the reviews on the platform where the apartment is also listed, and compare the photos with the site.
• Ask for a written contract before any payment, in the name of the person who is asking you to pay.
• Refuse a transfer abroad if the apartment is in France, and a price far below the other listings in the same building.
• A SIRET number, when it is published, can be checked in a company register. Ours is not on the legal notice yet.
