Le lodge de l'alpage
Le lodge de l'alpage: 70 m² for six, with two bathrooms

Room by room
- ✓The living area — 30 m²
Read on
You walk in and take in the whole apartment at a glance: thirty square metres in one open space, with the entrance on one side, the kitchen along the wall, the table in the middle and the lounge facing the picture window. No corridor, no wasted corner — which is why a two-bedroom apartment of seventy square metres feels bigger than it is.
The kitchen is fully equipped and recent: oven, induction hob, microwave, dishwasher, and everything you need to really cook, not just reheat. The table seats six without anyone having to push their chair back against the wall. In the evening the lounge turns towards the screen; you can also stream whatever you like from an iPhone, iPad or Mac, thanks to AirPlay.
- ✓The separate toilet
Read on
The toilet is separate from the two bathrooms: with six of you, one person can shower while another uses it, and mornings run smoothly without queuing.
- ✓The utility room
Read on
A proper utility room, with a separate washing machine and tumble dryer and space to put things down. It's the kind of room nobody mentions until they've spent a week with children and soaking-wet ski suits — and the kind everyone remembers afterwards.
- ✓The mountain nook — 6 m²
Read on
Six square metres that children claim within ten seconds. The two bunk beds are two metres long, not one metre eighty: a teenager can sleep without bending their knees. The bottom bunk is set into a wooden alcove with its own reading light: a real den, right down to the fir-tree wallpaper.
Next to it, a wardrobe means their things can be put away somewhere other than the living room.
- ✓The double bedroom — 13 m²
Read on
A 160 × 200 bed, a mountain mural covering the whole wall and — rare in a two-bedroom apartment — a real desk, with its chair, set in front of the picture window. Not a shelf in a corner: a table you can work at all day long, with the forest opposite.
This is the room to take if you're coming to work remotely for a week in January.
- ✓The bathroom
Read on
Walk-in shower, dark tiles, washbasin on a wooden unit: the bathroom has the same standard of finish as the rest of the apartment.
- ✓The en-suite double bedroom — 11 m²
Read on
The second bedroom has its own shower room, which makes all the difference when two couples travel together: nobody has to cross the apartment in a bathrobe. Pale wood panelling, a clothes rail rather than a wardrobe, and the same picture window onto the balcony.
- ✓The shower room
Read on
The more striking of the two bathrooms: black, wood and glass, with an open shelf for your things. It is reserved for the adjoining bedroom.
- ✓The balcony
Read on
The wooden balcony runs the full length of the façade, with a table for six and a sun lounger. In front of it lie the birch wood and a stream you can hear from the table. It's where you have breakfast in the sun and dinner late into the evening in July.
Together with the living area, it is this apartment's great asset.

Parking is covered: one double space (two cars) for Le lodge de l'alpage, two spaces for Les cimes de l'alpage. From there, the lift goes up to the ski room, where you have your own ski locker with its boot dryer — not a heap of gear in a shared room. A second room, also locked, is reserved for bikes. Then the lift carries on up to your landing: never outside with your luggage.
On the ground floor are the building's gym and its sauna, reached by the same lift, in your slippers.
Take the lift down, cross the road, fifty metres on foot, and click into your skis. The ski school meeting point is three minutes away, the ESF (French ski school) office five, and the Beauregard gondola — new, with ten-seater cabins — five minutes.
Our guests get 20% off ski hire at Mabboux Sports and Sport 2000 Marin Sports, in the village.
